    Celebrate Halloween with us at the Strand!

    The Strand’s Phantom of the Strand Halloween program offers up screenings of two films inspired by Gaston Leroux’s famous novel The Phantom of the Opera, and an original Ghost Story Slam!

    1pm:  See the 1925 silent horror classic PHANTOM OF THE OPERA  featuring Lon Chaney in his most famous role! (Regular ticket prices)

    6pm: Ghost Story Slam: All-original ghost stories submitted by community members and brought to life by local radio actors! Running time: about one hour.  (Donations are encouraged)

    8pm: See OPERA, the 1987 film by the master of Italian Horror, Dario Argento (director of Suspira). Featuring music by Brian Eno, Verdi, Bill Wyman and more! This film is R rated. (Regular ticket prices)

     

    WE WANT YOUR STORIES!
    Folks are encouraged to submit an original ghost story or horror tale for the Ghost Story Slam. Local radio actors and performers will then present the chosen tales on the Strand stage.

    Stories should be submitted in advance and be about 800 words or less. Stories longer than 800 words may be submitted, however a five-minute passage will be selected for presentation. Submit stories or send questions to [email protected] no later than October 24.
