ROBIN HOOD with Les Sorciers Perdus

Classic Silent Film with live soundtrack performance!

Les Sorciers Perdus perform a brand new score for Douglas Fairbanks in ROBIN HOOD (1922)!  Directed by Allan Dwan, the film stars Douglas Fairbanks as Robin Hood, Enid Bennett as Lady Marian Fitzwalter, Wallace Beery as King Richard The Lion-Hearted, and Sam De Grasse as Prince John.  Set in 12th Century Nottingham, complete with a towering castle designed by Frank Lloyd Wright’s son, Lloyd Wright, the enormous sets were said to have overwhelmed Fairbanks at first sight – to the point where he nearly canceled production!  The sets, as well as the meticulous costumes and over 1,200 extras contributed greatly to the film’s nearly $1,000,000 budget – a fortune in its time!  Considered a “lost film” until the 1960’s, this gorgeous restoration by the George Eastman House and the Museum of Modern Art in 2009 will appeal to silent film neophytes and film cognoscenti alike!

*There is one screening only, so reserve your tickets early!*

Considered director Allan Dwan’s masterpiece, Douglas Fairbanks in Robin Hood has never looked better on the big screen, and with a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this film will not disappoint!
