Interactive Puppet Show presented by Barn Arts Collective

REAL KID is a new show for family audiences, adapted from Carlo Collodi’s 1883 novel, Pinocchio. The production features several types of puppetry, from bunraku to shadow to tabletop to marionettes, and includes an original score with brand new songs. Through an immersive staging and audience participation, this production of a classic story brings to life the epic tale of the wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real kid.

REAL KID was first performed in 2017 at the Criterion Theatre in Bar Harbor, where the innovative premiere production brought audiences onto the stage and played to sold-out houses throughout the summer. REAL KID is currently touring to communities throughout Downeast Maine.
